Basketball Game Preview: East Chambers Buccaneers vs. Buna Cougars

The East Chambers Buccaneers will square off against the Buna Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East Chambers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 22 matches.

East Chambers is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Kountze just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 89-64. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Lions are ranked 84th).

Meanwhile, Buna took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 92-55 victory over Warren.

East Chambers' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 19-7. As for Buna, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-17.
