Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Englewood). They came out on top against the Lake County Panthers by a score of 65-58 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Englewood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Noll, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Noll a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Soren Singer, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.

Englewood was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Lake County lost, don't look at Isaiah Martinez. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Devyn Sterkel was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Englewood's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Lake County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Englewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-30 win against The Pinnacle on the 9th. As for Lake County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-63 defeat against Arvada on the 13th.
