Recap: Garden Valley Wolverines vs. Horseshoe Bend Mustangs

The Garden Valley Wolverines won the last time they faced the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Garden Valley strolled past Horseshoe Bend with points to spare, taking the game 70-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Garden Valley.

Horseshoe Bend's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Layth Bromgard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Bromgard's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Porter Larson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 3 steals.

Garden Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Horseshoe Bend, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garden Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wilder at 8:00 p.m. on December 20th. Wilder comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Horseshoe Bend won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Salmon River at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th.
