Basketball Recap: Houghton Lake Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tawas Area last Tuesday, Houghton Lake came back down to earth. The Houghton Lake Bobcats lost 48-26 to the McBain Ramblers on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Ramblers are ranked 64th).

Houghton Lake has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. The victory (which was McBain's third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

As of now, neither Houghton Lake nor McBain have any future games scheduled.
