Soccer Recap: Mid-Carolina's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After soaring to 11 goals the game before, Mid-Carolina was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Newberry Bulldogs. Mid-Carolina were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Newberry apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mid-Carolina fell to 6-1. As for Newberry, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Mid-Carolina wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Eau Claire on the 28th. As for Newberry, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Keenan on the 31st.
