            Baseball Recap: Centralia Panthers vs. Maryville Spoofhounds        
        
		
        
        
            The Centralia Panthers earned  a  4-1 win over the Maryville Spoofhounds  on Saturday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Panthers.
 Luke Waltemate spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on four hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cole Higginson, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cooper Gehrig, who  went 3-for-4 with one  double.
Centralia's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Maryville,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-10.
 Centralia has already played their next contest,  a  2-0  win against Sturgeon on the 21st. As for Maryville, they will square off against Benton at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 28th. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so the Spoofhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
