Soccer Recap: San Benito Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, San Benito was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 4-1 to the Los Fresnos Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Falcons are ranked 42nd).

San Benito dropped their record down to 6-4-2 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Los Fresnos, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Veterans Memorial the next time they take the pitch. Los Fresnos will head out to face Veterans Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while San Benito will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
