Greeley Central is 9-1 against Mountain View since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Greeley Central Wildcats will host the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Greeley Central lost to Northridge on the road by a 52-38 margin. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Greeley Central had strong showings from Aaniya Davis, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Madison Sepeda, who posted ten points and five steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Even though they lost, Greeley Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against Northridge, falling 53-26. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 90th).
Greeley Central will need to focus on slowing down Izzy Tonniges, one of several Mountain View players who made an impact when they last played. She scored seven points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Tonniges a new career-high in field goal percentage (60%). Another player making a difference was Mckayla Bradley, who had eight points and six rebounds.
Greeley Central now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Greeley Central has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything went Greeley Central's way against Mountain View in their previous meeting back in January, as Greeley Central made off with a 63-42 win. Will Greeley Central repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
