Recap: Castle Knights vs. Boonville Pioneers
The Castle Knights won the last time they faced the Boonville Pioneers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Castle was the clear victor by a 60-40 margin over Boonville.
Xander Niehaus continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ayden Mcatee, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Castle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Boonville, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Castle will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Evansville Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Evansville Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Saturday. As for Boonville, they will head out on the road to face off against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Princeton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boonville in Indiana (Princeton is ranked 82nd, while Boonville is ranked 258th).
