Soccer Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

Belton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Grain Valley Eagles. While losing is never fun, Belton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Grain Valley are ranked 35th).

Belton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Grain Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Belton has already played their next contest (against Platte County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Grain Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-1 win against Blue Springs on the 15th.
