Baseball Recap: Grandfield Takes a Loss

Grandfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ringling Blue Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Bearcats have lost by exactly three runs.

Braden Garlington made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cooper Henson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Grandfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Ringling, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Blue Devils beat Grandfield by a score of 11-8 later that day.
