Recap: Liberty vs. Lyle/Wishram
Liberty delivered
Lyle/Wishram a harsh 57 - 14 defeat. It was a playoff game, so the loss was no doubt an especially dispiriting one for Lyle/Wishram.
Liberty's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 36 points in the first half. That put it at a 36 - 6 advantage. Its success only continued in the second half, where it racked up an additional 21 points.
Despite the defeat, Lyle/Wishram won't want to forget the exciting 96-yard TD scramble from sophomore Brandon Montoya in the second quarter.
The win was just another feather in the cap for the still undefeated Liberty, who sits at 11-0. Lyle/Wishram's record fell to 7-4 after the loss.
