Baseball Recap: Bethel Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Bethel nor Troy Christian made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bees fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

Bethel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Goodman, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Troy Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethel will welcome Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last six games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Troy Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
