Softball Recap: Pritzker Triumphs

Pritzker was handed a nine-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Rauner Wildcats 11-10. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

The team relied heavily on Leilani Santiago, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Roman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Pritzker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .778. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .595 that Rauner posted.

The win got Pritzker back to even at 1-1. As for Rauner, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pritzker will welcome Butler at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rauner has already played their next match (against The Noble Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
