Baseball Recap: East Newton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

East Newton came out on top against Skyline on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tigers. The Patriots not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 21st (when they won 17-1).

The victory (which was East Newton's third in a row) raised their record to 13-12-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Skyline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, East Newton and Skyline will both be playing Stockton the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
