Basketball Recap: Rossville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Rossville Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 44-28 to the Pillow Academy Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 158th in Tennessee, while the Mustangs are ranked 36th in Mississippi).

Despite the defeat, Rossville Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mikaila Evans posted three points and 11 rebounds.

Rossville Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Pillow Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Rossville Christian Academy will face off against Bayou Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bayou Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Pillow Academy, they will host Starkville Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Starkville Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pillow Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
