Madison Central got a 27 - 10 win over Northwest Rankin last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Cedric Beal. Beal ran for 76 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Beal as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.

Points Galore

80. That was the combined point total for South Jones and Brookhaven when they went head to head last week, and it set the benchmark for all power ranking teams. Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Brookhaven beat South Jones 43 - 37. Hopefully the win is satisfying enough on its own since Brookhaven actually slipped one place in the power rankings.
