Baseball Recap: Kendrick Victorious

After losing to Grangeville the last time they met, Kendrick decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Kendrick Tigers came out on top against the Grangeville Bulldogs by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Ralli Roetcisoender was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roetcisoender was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Maddox Kirkland was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Xaiver Carpenter was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Kendrick's record now sits at 2-0. As for Grangeville, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Kendrick will be playing in front of their home fans against Potlatch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grangeville, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Maries at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
