Bainbridge piles up the points against Trinity Christian

Recap: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Trinity Christian Lions

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bainbridge Bearcats walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Trinity Christian 49-14 at home. Winning may never get old, but Bainbridge sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Bainbridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keenan Phillips led the charge by rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Phillips really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Antavious Murphy, who gained 157 total yards and three touchdowns.

Trinity Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Phoenix Moss and Wesley Middlebrooks ii. Moss rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, while Middlebrooks ii picked up 229 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Ashton Clare, who threw for 199 yards and a touchdown.

Bainbridge's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.2 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Bainbridge will be playing at home against Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Perry is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
