Baseball Recap: West Franklin Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but West Franklin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Mission Valley Vikings. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three contests in a row.

West Franklin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunnar McMahan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

West Franklin pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mission Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4-2.
