Basketball Recap: Medina's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Medina had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 50-37 victory over the Leakey Eagles on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-23 back in December of 2024.

Medina's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Leakey, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Medina Bobcats challenge the Nueces Canyon Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Nueces Canyon has lost five straight at home , while Medina has lost three on the road. As for Leakey, they will welcome Rocksprings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocksprings is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
