Baseball Game Preview: Menominee Indian Eagles vs. Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks

The Menominee Indian Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Menominee Indian hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Shiocton hit Menominee Indian with a six-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Chiefs, falling 13-2.

Menominee Indian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Olson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Weyauwega-Fremont fell victim to Wittenberg-Birnamwood and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Chargers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Warhawks were not able to get on the board.

Menominee Indian's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Menominee Indian might still be hurting after the 14-3 defeat they got from Weyauwega-Fremont when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
