Catholic Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Shaker Bison, falling 14-6. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Shaker, they moved to 8-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Catholic Central will take on Mohonasen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shaker, they will challenge Shenendehowa at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Plainsmen's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
