Football Game Preview: Doddridge County Bulldogs vs. Frankfort Falcons + Official Tickets

The Doddridge County Bulldogs will face off against the Frankfort Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Doddridge County will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Doddridge County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Independence by a score of 38-27.

Doddridge County had a senior duo take command as Caleb Hall gained 182 total yards and a touchdown and Brysen Dixon threw for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Hall also set a new season-high mark in rushing yards with 160. Landon Thomas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Doddridge County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Doddridge County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dayne Murphy, Lyric Blake, and Thomas picked up one apiece. Murphy is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season. Thomas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Frankfort faced Mingo Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Falcons blew past the Miners 50-15. Considering the Falcons have won 11 games by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Doddridge County better keep an eye on Braydn Tyler. He was instrumental in Frankfort's win, rushing for 101 yards and two scores on only five carries.

Doddridge County's record now sits at 12-0. As for Frankfort, their record is now an identical 12-0.
