Soccer Game Preview: Rowland vs. Wilson

Rowland and Wilson are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Rowland Raiders will take on the Wilson Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowland's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rowland is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against West Covina on Thursday. Rowland fell just short of West Covina by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Raiders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Wilson waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Vikings. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly three goals.

Rowland now has a losing record at 4-5-1. As for Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Rowland came up short against Wilson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 4-2. Can Rowland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
