Volleyball Recap: Newport Gets the Win

Newport picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Pleasant Hill Billies.

Newport's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Pleasant Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Newport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Taft on the 4th. As for Pleasant Hill, they will square off against Elmira at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
