Volleyball Recap: Model Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

Model hadn't done well against Sonoraville recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Blue Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Phoenix, sneaking past 2-1. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Phoenix walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2018.

Landry Johnson paced Model's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Rec, each putting up five.

Model has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-8 record this season. As for Sonoraville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 23-16.

Model didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Westminster on the 27th. As for Sonoraville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Elite Scholars Academy on the 27th.
