Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Jefferson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Jay on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Jefferson has struggled against Jay recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-10.

Jefferson's offense was headlined by Nallely Aguirre and Kiersten Amesquita, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Camille Castillo and her four assists.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Corpus Christi Moody on the 15th. As for Jay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against St. Anthony on the 15th.
