Football Game Preview: Mill Creek Hawks vs. Colquitt County Packers + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Jayde Beasley and Jae Lamar are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the Mill Creek Hawks and the Colquitt County Packers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Mill Creek is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Buford just ended the team's five-game winning streak last Friday. They were beaten by the Wolves 35-3. The matchup marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Colquitt County entered their tilt with Richmond Hill last Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 28-21.

A big part of Colquitt County's win came down to the chemistry between Cohen Lawson and his top target Antwan Lockett. Lawson threw for 217 yards and three TDs while Lockett picked up 114 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Lawson racked up 40 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August.

Mill Creek's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Colquitt County, their record is now 8-2.

Mill Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Colquitt County in their previous meeting back in August of 2016, winning 34-27. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Packers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
