Recap: Menno Wolves vs. Howard Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Menno Wolves, who are still winless after their fifth match. The New Year welcomed they with a 64-27 whooping from Howard on Tuesday. Menno has not had much luck with Howard recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Zoe Schaeffer was Menno's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Ashton Massey held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Menno bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Howard, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menno will face off against Tripp-Delmont/Armour at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Howard, they will head out on the road to face off against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Sanborn Central/Woonsocket is ranked 33rd, while Howard is ranked 37th).
