There's no place like home for Poquoson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lafayette Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Islanders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Poquoson's got stronger as the match went on, holding Lafayette to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-20, 25-16.
Despite the defeat, Lafayette saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Laurel Bray had two aces and one block. Bray is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season.
Poquoson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.
