Softball Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. Anclote Sharks

Gibbs is 0-7 against Anclote since February of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Gladiators will head out to square off against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Gibbs has given up an average of 25.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gibbs is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 27-2 to Booker.

Meanwhile, Anclote was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Hudson, falling 17-0.

Anclote saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nary Benner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Anclote, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Gibbs might still be hurting after the 23-2 loss they got from Anclote in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
