Volleyball Recap: Lewis Cass Comes Up Short

If Lewis Cass was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Delphi Community on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kings came up short against the Whitko Wildcats on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Kings in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Lewis Cass took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Lewis Cass still got an impressive performance from Lauren Tocco, who had 20 digs and six aces. Tocco is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lewis Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Whitko, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Lewis Cass will challenge Rochester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitko, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Westview on the 30th.
