Football Recap: Indian Creek Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Evan Clark and Drew Pingleton

Indian Creek made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lapel, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Braves fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 29-26 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Braves have suffered since September 20, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Indian Creek had strong showings from Drew Pingleton, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and Evan Clark, who rushed for 70 yards and one TD.

Devin Craig had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 102 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 182 yards and a pair of TDs for Lapel. Those 102 rushing yards gave Craig a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Indian Creek fell to 4-1. As for Lapel, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will challenge Tri-West Hendricks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Clark and Jack Sorgi. As for Lapel, they will square off against Rushville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
