Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sequel Hodge and Jacoby Davis Lead Land O' Lakes to Victory

Land O' Lakes saw some tournament action on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 88-69 victory over the Aubrey Rogers Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

Land O' Lakes was led to victory by Jacoby Davis and Sequel Hodge. Davis dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Hodge went 8-for-10 en route to 20 points. Davis has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 52% every time he's hit the court this season. Christian Daley was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.

Land O' Lakes was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists every time they've taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Aubrey Rogers lost, don't look at Seth Timmer. Despite the final result, he posted 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Vargas, who put up 17 points.
