Mapleton's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Cloverleaf Colts by a score of 2-1. Mapleton's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Kenzie Hellickson, who's now up to 13 this season.

Mapleton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Cloverleaf, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3-1.

Coming up, Mapleton will look to defend their home pitch on October 4 against Louisville at 7:00 p.m. As for Cloverleaf, they have already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Wooster on the 29th.
