Basketball Recap: LaSalle-Peru Takes a Loss

LaSalle-Peru was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 70-58 to the Sterling Golden Warriors. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

LaSalle-Peru's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sterling, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaSalle-Peru will square off against Mendota at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sterling, they are taking a road trip to take on Galesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sterling's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
