Softball Recap: Monadnock Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Monadnock won the last time they faced Fall Mountain and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Huskies put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 12-1 win. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by exactly 11 runs.

Ari Drouin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Drouin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other pitching news, Autumn Desimone-Jay looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Liv Knightly, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Cainen Avery was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Monadnock pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Fall Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
