New Holstein posted their closest victory since May 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Two Rivers Purple Raiders, sneaking past 3-2. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Purple Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Makya Pendleton made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pendleton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pendleton wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kourtney Karls, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Karls is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

New Holstein's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Two Rivers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Holstein will face off against Green Lake/Princeton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Two Rivers, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Xavier at 4:30 p.m.
