Softball Recap: Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks vs. Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles

Dawson-Boyd had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-18 to make it seven. They lost 13-3 to the Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-6 loss two weeks ago.

Dawson-Boyd saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Bothun, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Ragan Viessman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

As for Lac qui Parle Valley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-11. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Lac qui Parle Valley's side, Riley Clark spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Eva Trager was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abbie Amland, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
