Basketball Recap: Sedan Takes a Loss

Sedan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 51-19 to the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

Leading Cedar Vale/Dexter to victory were Eislee Boatman and Zoe Davidson. Boatman went 7 of 16 en route to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Davidson dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Boatman a new career-high in assists (four). Kylee Bragg was another key player, going 5 for 6 on her way to 10 points.

Sedan's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Sedan has already played their next game (against Flinthills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cedar Vale/Dexter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-32 win against Caldwell on the 4th.
