Basketball Recap: Orting Takes a Loss

Orting lost to Clover Park back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals received a blow as they fell 58-44 to the Timberwolves. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Andralynne Harless, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards for Clover Park. The dominant performance also gave Harless a new career-high in blocks (five). Fa'aluaina Salanoa was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Orting's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Clover Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Orting will host Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.65 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Clover Park has already played their next contest (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
