Football Recap: Westbrook Christian Piles Up the Points Against Locust Fork + How To Watch

Westbrook Christian lost to Locust Fork back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hornets 53-7. Fans of the Warriors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Westbrook Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Blevins led the charge by throwing for 201 yards and two TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. The dominant performance also gave Blevins a new career-high in passer rating (159.2). Brodey Wood helped Blevins out on the ground, rushing for 50 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one score.

Westbrook Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Locust Fork only rushed for 129 rushing yards.

Another reason for the win was Westbrook Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Easton Skaggs was especially locked on to Locust Fork's QB and sacked him twice. Skaggs has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played. Westbrook Christian received some extra help from Skaggs, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for Westbrook Christian, bringing their record up to 3-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 35.5 points thus far. As for Locust Fork, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Westbrook Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-21 defeat against Piedmont on the 19th. As for Locust Fork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 46-14 loss against Pennington on the 19th.
