Softball Recap: Licking Heights Has No Trouble Against Zanesville

Licking Heights never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Zanesville Blue Devils as they made off with a 17-0 victory. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Alissa West was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lily Meidl, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Licking Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Licking Heights' record is now 10-8. As for Zanesville, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Looking ahead, Licking Heights will be playing at home against Johnstown-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Johnnies have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Zanesville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Watkins Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
