After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carrboro, Franklinton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Heritage Huskies, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Red Rams: when they faced off against the Huskies back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (116-106) Franklinton actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 11-25, 27-29, 27-25, 16-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adalyn Smith, who had 13 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (26). Another player making a difference was Delaney Boylan, who had 20 digs and four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Heritage lost, don't look at Addison Frick. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Frick is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game.
