Melrose's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leah Fowke, who had a kill and 31 assists. Fowke is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Sabine Wenzel was another key player, getting 13 kills.
Wilmington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Melrose, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
