Basketball Recap: Odessa Comes Up Short

Odessa was the 55-41 winner over Delcastle Technical when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Odessa Ducks were dealt a 57-18 loss at the hands of the Delcastle Technical Cougars on Thursday. The Ducks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delcastle Technical was led to victory by Kylia Watson and Eden Alexander. Watson posted 21 points, while Alexander dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Alexander has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Odessa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Delcastle Technical, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.

Odessa has already played their next match, a 63-27 loss against Caesar Rodney on the 18th. As for Delcastle Technical, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-14 win against First State Military Academy on the 17th.
