Basketball Recap: Stevens Gets the Win

Stevens's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 50-44 win over the Edison Golden Bears. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 42-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Andra Stokes was nothing short of spectacular: she posted 25 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 25 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Ortega, who earned five points along with six boards and three steals.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-12. As for Edison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Stevens will take on Taft at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Edison, they will square off against Highlands at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Golden Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season.
