Lee's Summit North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Blue Springs, who was ranked 15th at the time (Lee's Summit North was ranked fourth). The Broncos came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 41-28 on Friday. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Bryce Thompson and Stephen Thomas Jr were among the main playmakers for Lee's Summit North as the former rushed for 195 yards and one score and the latter threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. Justin Lindsay was in the mix as well, providing the Broncos with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lee's Summit North was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Blue Springs South against Staley on Friday as the squad secured a 49-7 win. Fans of the Jaguars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Blue Springs South's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lee's Summit North, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
