Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview scored first but ultimately less than Menendez in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-6. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

James Norton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Ridgeview: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise.

Ridgeview moved to 8-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Menendez, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will host St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Menendez, they will be playing at home against Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Falcons' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Blue Devils have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
